Senior VoIP Systems Engineer

 

Job Description and Requirements

Plan, design, build, test, debug, implement, maintain custom VoIP based infrastructure. Responsibility of building and leading a team of engineers/programmers that will grow with the company.

 

  • Through understanding of SIPv2 protocol and related network components (Proxy, SBC, Softswitch, etc.)
  • Through understanding of IP based network systems and protocols
  • Understanding of NAT, PAT, Firewall issues as they relate to VoIP
  • Ability to trace and troubleshoot VoIP sessions at the packet level
  • Working knowledge of C, Perl, PHP
  • Experience with Asterisk and Sip Express Router (SER) at the source code level
  • Experience with Cisco IOS Voice routers (Dial-Peer, H.323, ISDN, etc.)
  • Experience in interfacing with call routing / rating / billing systems
  • Understanding of Linux based operating systems
  • Experience with RDBMS (MySQL a plus)
  • Experience with high availability clustering and load balancing
